The Happy List: {A Quiet Night In}

A few weeks ago I blogged about my Happy List, a fun round up of all the things that make me smile, to keep on hand for days when I'm feeling not so happy. The idea was to do at least one activity off my happy list once a week, and though I haven't had the time to stick to this every week, I've tried to do a little something for me as often as possible.
After posting my happy list, I was lucky enough to receive some delicious, ready-made Gluhwein from Original Cocktails (better known for their iced, ready-to-drink cocktails). Is that a sign from the universe or what? So, one night after Bean had been bathed and put to bed, I decided to whip up some snacks, pour myself a huuuuge glass of Original Cocktails Gluhwein, catch up on all the latest style news in my favourite glossies and indulge in a little me time. It's amazing how a little time out can make you feel so much better, especially after working on a crazy deadline for weeks on end!

*A little note on Original Cocktails Gluhwein*
I'm not a big drinker, but there are two alcoholic beverages that I can't get enough of: Champagne (or sparkling wine, depending on the state of my bank account!) and Gluhwein. I tend to be a bit of a lazy bones at the best of times (mostly because it's all 'go go go!' when Bean's awake), so the only time I really have the opportunity to indulge in a warm glass of gluhwein is when we're at a restaurant or if friends or family have whipped up a batch. You can imagine my excitement when I discovered that there's a ready-to-drink version on the market: it's as easy as pouring yourself a glass and heating it up in the microwave. And it really tastes like the real thing, with plenty of zesty spices and cinnamon coming through with each sip. Absolutely delicious. (Did I mention that Original Cocktails Gluhwein comes in a 750ml bottle, as well as a 2l BOX?! Best news everrrr. Especially given the miserable weather in Cape Town over this past weekend.)
