Now that Bean is 7 months old, I've decided that it's about time I got him a pair of sensible shoes. He's been wearing socks and soft, fabric 'shoes' up until now, but he's starting to look less like a baby and more like a proper little boy, so I think it's time to graduate to a pair of 'real' shoes. I also anticipate that he'll start crawling soon, so I'm sure that he'll be clambering up against furniture and taking his first steps before I know what's hit me. (Please sloooow down, baby - you're growing up too quickly!)
I've heard so much about Shooshoos, so I decided to do a little research and browse their online store. I was absolutely blown away at the gorgeous designs on offer! I intended on buying one pair of Shooshoos, but I'm currently torn between five!

I love that Shooshoos leather ranges are designed and manufactured locally in Cape Town, and the fact that the company was started in 1996 as a means to uplift disadvantaged communities. Since becoming a mom, my priorities have shifted dramatically and I find myself drawn to charitable causes and upliftment projects. I guess it all boils down to the fact that I want a better world for my son; a world where people treat each other with kindness and compassion, and where no one is left wanting for anything. Big dream, I know, but I've made it my mission to do as much as I can to help others, and I have every intention of teaching Bean to be compassionate and kind as he grows. I've already made a commitment to participate in the Santa Shoebox Project every year, and I'm looking for other ways to give back too. Buying a pair of Shooshoos may not seem like much, but supporting local is always a good idea and I guess every little bit helps, right?
*Note: This is NOT a sponsored post. I blogged about Shooshoos simply because I love the range and wanted to share my fashionable finds with other moms *
