Inspiration: {Nurseries}

We've just moved into a new home, which is pretty exciting in itself, but the thing I am looking forward to the most is decorating Bean's new bedroom. Since we knew that we'd be moving six months after Bean's birth, we didn't paint the baby room in our old house and, although I put a lot of time and effort into making sure that his first bedroom was just right, it wasn't quite the dreamy nursery I had in mind. We plan on staying put for quite a while this time round (*touch wood*), so I've got all sorts of plans to make Bean's playroom every little boy's dream. Here are a few of the images that have made their way into the 'inspiration' folder on my desktop...

(The reason why I refer to it as 'Bean's playroom' is because that's essentially what it will be - a space to store his toys and clothes. Bean sleeps with us in our bedroom - you can read my post on co-sleeping here - so his cot is beside our bed).

My wishlist for Bean's room:

- a chevron rug
- shelving for his books
- a comfortable armchair (for story time)
- unique artwork for a picture wall
- a crochet quilt
- a chest of drawers painted in colourful chalkboard paint
