One look at this week's photo says it all: I'm feeling... exhausted. (I also wasn't wearing any makeup for this photo - never again will I submit you, dear readers, to this!) My growing bump is definitely starting to take it's toll now - I've been suffering from lower back pain a lot recently, and I battle to get comfortable at night. I also laugh at myself on a daily basis when having to pull myself up and out of the bath; I think it may be time to switch to showers soon! (Thank goodness it's summer!)
Other than slight discomfort from time to time and a little bit of backache here and there, I'm still really enjoying being pregnant. My bump is finally starting to look like a 'real' bump to me, and little Bean's regular movements have become a regular and very special occurrence on a day-to-day basis. He's even started getting hiccups lately, and there's nothing I love more than lying in bed next to my soon-to-be hubby, watching Dexter and rubbing my belly while Bean kicks in response. SO magical. I'm definitely going to miss these moments once he's out.
I went for a checkup at my gynae this week and was surprised to learn that Bean already weighs a whopping 957 grams, and he's about 23cm from crown to rump! I can't believe how much he's grown in the past month alone, and I'm just a tad nervous at the thought of how much he'll grow between now and my next checkup at 32 weeks. I'm not sure my tummy can stre-e-e-e-tch much more! Things are about to get very squishy for poor little Bean - sorry, little guy! Only 14 more weeks to go!
Oh bahambug! you look great without make-up on!
ReplyDeleteMust be amazing {and amazingly weird} to feel the little baba move inside you?!
