Happy 1st Birthday!

It's official - I've been blogging for exactly one year today and my, how my little blog has grown! I started this blog with no real idea of what direction I wanted it to take and although I've started posting more regularly in recent months, I'm still battling with various design elements and grappling with creating fresh, new content. I'm slowly starting to get the hang of it and I've learnt many, many things along the way. It's been a very busy year, that's for sure. Here are just a few of my milestones and the lessons I've learnt along this journey...

... I got engaged!
... And I learnt how expensive weddings really are and how difficult something as seemingly simple as choosing your wedding date can be.
... If I thought all that wedding planning was stressful and super-big, the Universe decided to prove that things do, in fact, get even bigger (and better!). We found out that we're expecting a little baby boy in February 2013! (Exactly one year - give or take a few days - after our engagement, and two months before our wedding!)
... I found out I was pregnant round about the same time we were moving house. Talk about stress!

It's been a BIG year, that's for sure! I think it's safe to say that we certainly don't do things in half measures around here. Everything seems to be happening at once and although there's a part of me that wishes I could hit pause and savour each experience (being pregnant, planning a wedding) individually, I wouldn't have it any other way. I am so excited to be marrying my fiance in less than two months' time, and I'm even more thrilled that our little boy will be present (although hidden away in my tummy!) on our special day. Here's to an even bigger and more exciting year ahead! Thank you for visiting my blog over the past year and for sharing all these special moments with me... I look forward to sharing even more magical moments with you all in future!
