Baby Bump: {23 Weeks}

Don't be fooled, dear friends - my belly is even bigger than it looks in this photo given that, as I type, I'm actually 24 weeks pregnant and not 23! (Week 24 will be up later this week, and belly shots will resume on a weekly basis from next week). Last week was not a good week in terms of regular updates and blog posts, but things are really starting to happen at the moment. Our wedding is tomorrow in exactly two months and Bean's arrival is a mere 16 weeks away, so things have been rather frantic in our household! Our wedding plans are slowly starting to come together, but not without a few hiccups. I'm trying to keep it together but boy, these pregnancy hormones are not for the faint hearted! I've had at least three mini-meltdowns this past week alone, but thankfully I have a very supportive hubby-to-be who stands by me, even when I'm being a complete emotional wreck or a moody psychopath (or both, rolled into one tear-stained, screaming mess). Thankfully, whenever things start to get a little too overwhelming, Bean will give a little kick or squirm and I'm reminded that really, there are far more important things in life than one day - even if it is my wedding day! Point is, I'm marrying the man I love and we're starting a family together. The finer details of the actual wedding day don't mean a thing in the long-run.

We've started making plans for Bean's bedroom and I can't wait to get started on the decorating. Sometimes I get a little freaked out when I realise that, in 16 weeks' time (or less!), we'll be parents, but then I start to dream of what he may look like and I have a little conversation with him and it all seems doable, somehow. The enormity of it all has definitely hit during this past week and I know that it's going to be a big change (and one that we won't ever be able to prepare ourselves for), but I am so happy that I'm doing it with my fiance and I am so happy that we're bringing little Bean into the world. I know that all the dirty nappies and sleepless nights are going to be so, so worth it. And I can't wait!

This month has definitely been a month of growth. Here's a little recap of my belly pics, taken over the past three weeks. My, how little Bean has grown!
