My Beautiful Life: {Dimi from StyleScoop}

It's Monday, which means it's time for another 'My Beautiful Life' post! Today, Dimi from best-loved fashion and beauty blog, StyleScoop, shares the details of her beautiful life with us. It's a goodie, so let's jump right in, shall we?

Beauty is making the most of what you’ve been given. By that,I mean wearing makeup that suits and enhances your features rather than changes how you look.

The best beauty advice I ever received was learning how to properly shade your eyes with makeup to make them pop instead of piling on loads of makeup! Also, to use the right makeup brushes for the best possible application

If I could use only one beauty product for the rest of my life, it would be...Tough one considering I’m a total beauty junkie! Hmmm, I’d have to say Mascara! My lashes just wouldn't be the same (or there at all) if it wasn’t for the magic of mascara!

In my makeup bag... Makeup bag? Did I mention that I’m a beauty Junkie? I have drawers filled with makeup! But, of course, even a beauty junkie like me can’t use all of it, all at the same time – that would defeat my whole concept of what beauty is! I do have a little makeup bag, of my current favourites that I'm using right now. This changes all the time, but for the moment here’s what’s inside...

MAC STUDIO FIX FLUID FOUNDATION
Although I’ve got loads of fave foundations, right now I’m hooked on my MAC Studio Fix Foundation. I got matched up in Greece and the colour is perfect for my skin tone.

MAC MINERALIZE SKIN FINISH POWDER
I hate powders because I feel like I end up looking too matte, but at the same time I hate it when my skin shines. The MAC Mineralize Skinfinish powder takes away the shine without caking my face!

MAKEUP FOREVER 5 PALETTE CAMOUFLAGE CREAM PALETTE
I absolutely love this stuff! It’s great for fixing up any little flaws on the face. The green is ideal for covering up redness, the purple is perfect for hiding any dark spots and pigmentation, while the brown/orange shade on the end is great for concealing dark circles under the eyes.

YVES SAINT LAURENT TOUCHE ECLAT
An all time fave, great for brightening up under the eyes and around the corners of the nose.

YSL TERRE SAHARIENNE BRONZING POWDER
One of my fave bronzers right now because it gives my face a natural sun kissed look without making it too orange! Plus the product is very compact and fits great into my makeup bag.

REAL TECHNIQUES BUFFING BRUSH
I’m a huge fan of the sisters PixiWoo on Youtube. I subscribe to their channel and have learnt so much from them. If you’re a fan of the sisters, you’ll know that this brush is from Sam (Samantha Chapman’s) own range called “Real Techniques”. The brushes are not available in South Africa (boo) but I got my aunt who lives in the US to send me a few. The buffing brush is beyond awesome and feels like silk on the skin!

INGLOT EYESHADDOWS AND BLUSHER
Inglot are fast becoming my all time favourite eye shadow, and now blusher range! They are so affordable and I love how you can build your own palettes! This is my “everyday” palette. Three of the eye shades are from my STYLESCOOP PURE Palette that I developed together with Inglot, and you can buy this collection at Inglot counters! The three colours are great basic eye shades and a must for every glam gal! The blusher, is a new find, and love the subtle spark of peach.

The two eye brushes are from my daily kit. My can’t live without MAC 217 brush is so old the name has faded off! Nonetheless, it still works as perfectly as the day I bought it! Great for applying and blending shadow. And a newbie to my collection is the MAC 208 brush. I’m a huge, huge fan of liquid liner, and nothing gives you perfect lines quite like this brush! I also use it to shape my brows.

INGLOT AMC EYELINER GEL in 77
My fave liquid liner! It’s as good as Bobbi Brown’s Gel Liner and it costs way less!

LANCOME HYPNOSE DRAMA MASCARA
Love, love, love it! Makes my lashes super thick and really plumps them out!

MAC GRAPHBLACK TECHNAKHOL LINER
Is amazing! Best black liner I’ve used. It goes on super black and stays put all day without smudging! The only problem is that because it’s in an applicator (as apposed to a pencil) mine broke, so I’m using as much of it as I can.

MAC CREAM COLOUR BASE in “Shell”
This is the very best cheekbone highlighter out there. It goes on glam and stays put all day. It’s also one of those products that is multifunctional, so it’s definitely a kit essential.

MAC BLANKETY LIPSTICK
It actually took me a while to get used to this shade, but found that it’s a great every day colour for nude lips.

INGLOT SLEEKS CREAM gloss in 102
Pretty as a peach! Inglot Sleeks cream is the yummiest gloss out there and smells like coconuts – mmmm. It’s also super hydrating and I just love this colour for summer!

ZAM-BUK
Not something you’d expect to see in a beauty bag, but this stuff is as the name says. The Real Makoya! It’s awesome and great for lips especially in winter. Plus it’s good to have in your bag for things like sunburn, itching, bites and burns. And its proudly South African!

THE BAG
I got this beautiful Chanel makeup bag from the fabulous Sarah at Prestige and I just love it! It surprisingly holds quite a lot of makeup.

The 3 most beautiful things in my life at the moment are...
My gorgeous husband!
My brand new pair of Giuseppe Zanotti wedges I bought recently in Dubai
My two rottie pups (one who weighs more than me) and my other two mongrel's :)
