On My Nightstand: Dimi from Stylescoop

It's been a frantic week, what with shoot preparations, work trips to Joburg and catching up on a bit of copy writing, so please excuse the delay with the next installment of the 'On My Nightstand' series. I absolutely love receiving these images and words in my inbox each week, and I'm so excited to share Dimi Ingle's (of fabulous fashion and beauty blog, Stylescoop) gorgeous nightstand with you. It's so calm and serene; I feel newly inspired and can't wait to get home to reorganise mine! So without further ado, here's what Dimi keeps on her nightstand...

"One thing you will always find on my nightstand, actually with me 24/7, is my iPad. It's the coolest thing since microwave popcorn and I'm totally lost without it. I take it to bed with me almost every night, which drives my husband crazy. I like catching up on blogs, reading magazines on Zinio, catching up with friends on Facebook (as I hardly ever use Facebook for personal stuff during the day - its usually StyleScoop, StyleScoop, StyleScoop). I must also confess that I'm a Youtube addict and I stalk follow a few makeup Vloggers because they post such cool tutorials that inspire me to try out new looks."

"While I love my iPad, it can often be distracting and sometimes you just want to settle down with a nice book. Sidney Sheldon is my favourite author, but at the moment I'm into more light, feel good reading. For that type of escape I love Candace Bushnell (author of Sex and the City). I bought this book, One Fifth Avenue, ages ago, but I’m determined to read a bit every night. I love her books, I always wish I could jump on a plane and move to New York City!"

"I'm an obsessive note taker and have to have a notebook and paper nearby at all times. Yes the iPad is cool and yes, you can take notes on it (it even has a Moleskine app), but I like good ol’ fashion writing. I love this gold notebook I got as a gift from the ex Communications Manager at Estee Lauder SA, Jessica Lawther. She had our names engraved into each notebook – how special!"
"For a treat, I love burning scented candles. This one from Jo Malone, Lime Basil & Mandarin is beautiful and I love it. I love the design of the candle glass too. It was a collaboration by the son of British Interior Decorator David Hicks, Ashely Hicks and Jo Malone to showcase some of his father's beautiful designs."
"While I have a ton (and I do mean a ton) of beauty products, these are the few I like to keep on my bedside table. Starting with Thierry Mugler Angel Body Lotion. I use very little of this as I love it, but you also don’t need a lot. It smells divine! I wish I could put it all over my body, but alas, we must savour and save, so I only use it every now and then, mostly on my hands when my hands are in need of moisture.

I also keep a bottle of perfume on my bedside table. For the moment it's Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue. The D&G red is my all time favourite scent, followed by Thierry Mugler Angel. This would have to be my number three.

I keep a tube of Pedi Relax moisturizing foot cream here too. The best time to apply this is after you’ve had a nice long bath and just before you climb into bed. Its the perfect place for it.

I also keep a bottle of Tip Top Nail Chic Cuticle Oil on my bedside table as I usually forget to put it on during the day and this way I can remember to keep those cuticles healthy."

Absolutely divine! Thank you SO much, Dimi! If you haven't checked out Dimi's magnificent style blog, you've been missing out: head over to www.stylescoop.co.za today, or check out Stylescoop's Facebook and Twitter pages.

To further indulge my curiosity, I'll be doing a weekly post called 'On My Nightstand' where fellow bloggers & friends will take a few snap shots of their nightstand and send a brief description for your viewing pleasure, so be sure to check back regularly. If you'd like to share the contents of you nightstand, please be in touch. I'd love to hear from you!
