Mama Mio Bootcamp for Tummies: {Before}

I can't even begin to tell you just how excited I was when  Mama Mio's Bootcamp for Tummies landed on my doorstep a couple of weeks ago. Although I've managed to lose all my baby weight since giving birth almost six months ago, I've been just a tad perturbed by my newest addition. And no, I'm not referring to my gorgeous little boy.

Friends and readers, meet my 'pooch'. Yes, I may have given 'it' a pet name, but please don't mistake this familiarity as a sign of affection for my not-so-lovely mummy muffin-top. I'll admit: I had a bit of a tum to begin with, but my post-caesarian 'pooch' is a whole different story - it's flabby, has no definition whatsoever and has a tendency to bunch up over my waistline when I'm sitting. Not a pretty sight, so believe me when I say that I really, really need these products in my life right now - despite what it may look like when I have my clothes on. (Waistbands can be used to clever effect when it comes to disguising lumps and bumps...)

Yes, this is me, baring it all and posting a rather large (eek) photograph of my belly all over the  interweb - all in the name of research, of course! This photograph was taken this morning, right before I started slathering and smoothing the Skin Tight Toning Serum and Get Waisted Body Shaper all over my tum, hips and thighs. These two products work in conjunction to tighten and firm up any loose skin, and the two exercises ('The Elevator' and 'The Contracting') have been designed to give you maximum results in a short space of time - because we all know that life as a new mom means that you have very little time for yourself, and that you'd rather spend the few precious minutes you do have languishing in a hot bath, rather than working up a sweat in the gym (or is it just me?).

The beauty of Mama Mio's Bootcamp for Tummies is that it won't take too much time out of your hectic schedule - roughly eight minutes in total each day is all it takes (four minutes to do the two exercises, and two minutes to apply the products in the morning, and another two for application at night). I started off by smoothing two pumps of the Skin Tight Toning Serum all over my tum, extending to my chest, down to my thighs and round the back (two pumps goes a surprisingly long way, especially on slightly damp skin after a shower) and massaging the product into my skin for roughly 30 seconds. It's recommended that you wait about 15 seconds before applying the next product, so I used this time to brush my teeth. I then applied the Get Waisted Body Shaper all over my tummy, massaging in a clockwise motion for 30 seconds.

(Let me just pause here to tell you just how much I love Get Waisted already: it has a gorgeous, fresh scent and it tingles ever-so-slightly, which makes me feel as though it's really working on those stubborn fat cells.)

So far, no problem. I've always been very good when it comes to skincare and bodycare, so I don't foresee falling off the application band wagon anytime soon. What I do worry about is whether I'll be disciplined enough to actually stick to the exercises and follow through by doing them on a daily basis!  I did them at my desk while checking my emails this morning and although they're a bit tricky to master at first (I haven't exercised in a looong time, so this is all new for me!), they're fairly simple once you get the hang of them. I'm hoping to get so used to them that I find myself doing them in the car while sitting in traffic, while eating dinner, checking emails...

Here's a little demo I found online:

I'll be doing a report back (with an 'after' pic of my totally taut and lean tum, I hope!) after I've completed the full 30 days, so keep an eye out for that!

Have you tried any Mama Mio products? If so, let me know which ones you've tried and what you thought in the comments, below.
