... a pretty pop of pink! There's nothing that cheers me up more on a grey, drizzly day than a bold, fuchsia lip (a good cappuccino won't hurt either). I missed out on so many fantastic beauty launches while I was on maternity leave, so I'm really relishing being back at the office and playing around with makeup. These are the products I've tested this morning...
Pond's Flawless Radiance All-In-One Even Tone Expert BB Cream SPF30 PA++ in 'Beige'
I've heard so much about this BB cream and it's one of the few that I haven't had the pleasure of trying - until now, that is. Pond's is a brand that I've come to love and trust over the past year or so, so I had high expectations of this product - and I wasn't disappointed. What I like most about this BB Cream is that it has a yellow undertone, which is something so many BB creams lack - the majority seem to have more of a pink undertone and if Bobbi Brown (the makeup artist) has taught me one thing, it's that most skin tones have a yellow undertone. (This must be why the Bobbi Brown BB Cream lists so highly on my 'must-have' list). The Pond's BB Cream feels like a moisturiser and simply melts into your skin, softening blemishes and reducing redness as it goes. If you're in the market for a good BB Cream that does as it says (evens skin tone, protects against UV exposure, provides natural coverage and reduces the appearance of dark spots from within the epidermal layer) and won't break the bank (at around R90), this is the one for you.
Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Radiance Blush in 'Pink Pop 07'
It's no secret that blusher has become my new BFF. Other than adding some much-needed colour to my pale complexion, I find that blusher also has the ability to impart a healthy glow. If I come across a product that promises to boost radiance, I'm immediately tempted to try it - particularly since I decided to have a baby and give up my usual eight hours of beauty sleep! I make do on about five hours every night (often broken), so when a product promises to make dull, lackluster skin look instantly healthy and glowy, I'm probably the best candidate to test it's claims. Upon first inspection, I was worried that this bubblegum pink blusher would be all wrong for my skin tone and leave me with unsightly pink stripes along my cheekbones. I found myself wondering which skin tone would be able to pull this off, but I pulled out my large angled blush brush from Justine and began testing away. And I'm so glad I tried this blusher, despite my initial reservations - it's actuallty the perfect shade for my pale skin tone and the formula is spot-on. It's oil-free and incredibly blendable, so you can play around and build the colour to suit your mood.
Bourjois Beauty'Full Volume Mascara in '01 Beauty'Full Black'
I looove this mascara. So much so, that I don't feel the need to wear eyeliner or eyeshadow - it does a good enough job of lengthening and defining my lashes so that my eyes stand out, even without my usual slick of liner. The 'mega lash styling brush' grabs every lash, lengthening and thickening as it goes, and it's easy enough to control (so you won't poke your eye out or leave smudges along your lid). Love, love, love!
Maybelline 14Hr Lipstick in 'Infinitely Fuchsia 160'
I'm so drawn to fuchsia lipstick lately - I'm not sure whether it's denial (summer can't be over!) or an attempt to perk up dreary wintery days with a splash of bold colour. Probably both. What I do know is that this lippie won't be leaving my side any time soon. It's wonderfully moisturising - unbelievably so - and the colour pay-off is incredible. It also promises long-lasting colour for up to 14 hours, but since this is the first time I've used it, I'll have to report back on that claim. What I can tell you is that I've had it on for two hours (and one cup of coffee) already, and it hasn't budged. A relatively simple face for a quiet day at the office - and quick and easy to boot! What products are you loving today?

Keen to try out the Maybelline lipstick, it looks so vibrant and I agree that it brighten up any winter day...
