"Being a family means you are part of something wonderful. It means you will love and be loved for the rest of your life." - Anonymous -
The enormity of bringing a new life into this world has really started to dawn on me over this past week - with each little kick and somersault, I've started to become more and more aware of the fact that there is a little, individual being growing inside me. A little being who picked us as his parents; a little being with his own personality and quirks. And every day, when I get to spend a few moments really focusing on his movements, I realise just how much I love this little guy, despite never having laid eyes on him. We're going for our 22 week scan next week and I can't wait to see our little Bean again and to see just how much he's grown and developed. Apparently his little eyelids are fully formed this week, though he won't open them until around 27 weeks or so. His little taste buds are also starting to develop, so I'm going to try hold of on all the good, sweet stuff and throw the occasional plateful of broccoli in there, too. Maybe he'll like the taste of the stuff then?
(Look who joined us for our photo this week! This is our beloved pooch, Phoebe, who's really taken with me at the moment. I'm sure she can sense that I'm pregnant, which explains why she's been so loving and protective towards me)
Congrats on baby bump...its the best job offer you'll ever have!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! I'm super-excited :)
